The Union Cabinet has approved the launching of a National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) or “Mission Karmayogi” to enable government officers and employees get the opportunity to improve their performance iGOTKarmayogiPlatform. In this regard a sum of Rs.510.86 crore will be spent over a period of 5 years from 2020-21 to 2024-25 to cover around 46 lakh Central employees.

The Cabinet has  approved the introduction in Parliament of the Jammu and Kashmir Official Languages Bill 2020 under which KashmiriDogri and Hindi, apart from the existing Urdu and English, will be the official languages in the union territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir.

India ranks 48th in the 13th Edition of Global Innovation Index 2020 released by WIPO

For the First time, India joined the group of Top 50 Countries in the 13th Edition of Global Innovation Index (GII) 2020,

 Annual report jointly released by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Cornell University and INSEAD Business School. 

The Theme of the 13th edition of the GII 2020 is “Who Will Finance Innovation?”
